DomainTheft.org Announces Three New Partners In Their Fight Against Cybercrime

Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) September 01, 2011

DomainTheft.org launched in July of this year as the first centralized domain theft database and recovery service on the Internet. Over the last month the service has already undergone several key changes based on customer feedback. “DomainTheft.org is following the lean startup process, we are constantly doing customer development, getting feedback from our users, and using this to improve our system,” says Morgan Linton, the founder of DomainTheft.org.

Now, a little more than a month later they are announcing strategic partnerships with some of the top companies in the domain name world. “We are very fortunate to be working with some of the best companies in the space who are equally passionate about preventing domain theft,” says Linton, “These partners showed immediate interest in the service and approach we are taking.”

The first three partners for DomainTheft.org are: Escrow.com, Flippa, and Domain Tools. On the transactional side Escrow.com is one of the most successful online Escrow services in the world dealing with transactions on virtual goods like domain names every single day. “DomainTheft.org is a great idea and long overdue. We are pleased to be able to support safe and secure Internet transactions in any way possible,” says Brandon Abbey the President of Escrow.com.

Flippa, the leading website sales marketplace has also come-onboard as the first marketplace to partner with DomainTheft.org. “Full points to DomainTheft.org for looking to provide a solution for domain owners who have fallen foul of domain theft,” says Dave Slutzkin, CEO of Flippa. “We are very excited about having Flippa as our first marketplace partner, it is clear they are very committed to preventing the sale of stolen domain names on their platform and are equally passionate about the cause.” says Linton.

Along with Escrow.com and Flippa, one of the most respected companies in the domain space has come onboard – Domain Tools. “This was a big one for us,” says Linton, “DomainTools is a critical tool for domain owners all over the world and an essential tool to use when validating domain ownership. They are completely devoted to the domain space and ensuring the safety and security of buyers and sellers.”

These partnerships will allow DomainTheft.org to increase their reach and help grow awareness for the service. “You wouldn’t buy a used car without first checking Carfax, and soon you won’t buy a domain without first checking DomainTheft.org,” says Linton, “This is just the beginning, there has never been a centralized database for stolen domain names, we are forging a new path, and we couldn’t be more excited!”
