Golden Gloves Events Landed in Mesquite, Nev. through 2013

Golden Gloves boxing returns to the CasaBlanca Event Center in Mesquite, Nv., July 22-24.

Las Vegas, NV (Vocus) May 20, 2010

Mesquite scored a huge win recently when it was announced that the city had landed the Golden Gloves Junior Nationals for three years and the Golden Gloves Senior National Championship for a single year.

The Junior Nationals will kick off the final event of a four-year stand July 22-24 in the Event Center of the CasaBlanca Resort and Casino in a blockbuster event which will attract about 400 competitors ages 8-16. The Junior Nationals will return to the city through 2013.

The Senior Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions has also been inked for April 28-May 5 of 2012. With ten weight classes, the event will draw about 300 boxers ages 17 and up.

A group of Southern Nevadans journeyed to Little Rock, Ark., where meetings were held earlier this month. Also attempting to land the prestigious events were representatives from Lafayette, La., and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Representing Mesquite in the bidding were Dawn Barry, a Golden Gloves franchise holder from Las Vegas; Dawn Sanchez, the executive director for Barry’s Boxing in Las Vegas; Barry’s husband, Pat, a long-time boxing coach; along with Black Gaming General Sales Manager Michelle Yegge Evans, who combined to convince 30 delegates to bring the events to Mesquite.

“We had a very good pitch and a lot of support from the CasaBlanca Hotel,” said Dawn Barry, who has been involved in the fight game in Las Vegas for 35 years. “The CasaBlanca gave us various incentives and also worked closely with us throughout the process.”

“In addition, Black Gaming President Randy Black himself wrote a personal letter to each delegate encouraging them to vote for Mesquite.”

Dawn Barry added that this year’s Junior Golden Gloves will attract competitors from Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, California and Utah, to name a few of the states.

“This is a good piece of business for Mesquite,” said Julian Dugas, the director of sports marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority who also made the trip to Little Rock. “The Juniors will draw a little over 1,000 people for each night and the Seniors will draw a little over 3,000 in April of 2012 for six to eight nights.”

Dugas said Mesquite won out because of Southern Nevada’s diverse product including hotel rooms, bowling, golf, spas and the proximity to Las Vegas along with the canyons that are a short drive away.

Further information regarding the Golden Gloves can be found at http://www.juniorgoldengloves.com or by calling Dawn Barry at 702-368-2696.

ElcomSoft Recovers Passwords to BlackBerry Password Keeper & BlackBerry Wallet

ElcomSoft Recovers Passwords to BlackBerry Password Keeper & BlackBerry Wallet

Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker

Moscow, Russia (PRWEB) August 30, 2011

ElcomSoft Co. Ltd. updates Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker with the ability to recover master passwords protecting passwords stored in BlackBerry Password Keeper, as well as financial information kept in BlackBerry Wallet. With these two new features, Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker becomes the first commercially available product to offer access to passwords stored in BlackBerry Password Keeper and sensitive information stored in BlackBerry Wallet.

Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker offers forensic access to password-protected backups produced by Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch devices and BlackBerry smartphones and tablets. By enabling forensic access to encrypted information stored in BlackBerry Password Keeper and Wallet apps, ElcomSoft helps investigators recover more valuable pieces of otherwise inaccessible information stored in RIM BlackBerry smartphones.

Background

BlackBerry users have an option to securely store and quickly access all their passwords and their financial information such as credit card numbers, billing addresses, loyalty points numbers etc. This information is being held in BlackBerry Password Keeper and Wallet apps, and is securely protected additional master passwords. Password Keeper and Wallet use separate master passwords. In order to access information stored in these apps, BlackBerry users have to enter the correct master password first. After 10 unsuccessful attempts to guess the master password, all data stored in BlackBerry Password Keeper or Wallet can be permanently erased from the device if a corresponding setting is selected by the user (which is normally the case).

BlackBerry Password Keeper protects users’ passwords with a single master password, offering its users the convenience of having to deal with only one password instead of keeping in mind login credentials to dozens of Web sites, applications and services. BlackBerry users are encouraged to use Password Keeper to generate extremely secure random passwords containing a fairly long sequence of letters, numbers and symbols. All users’ passwords are stored securely encrypted, and can be only decrypted with a Password Keeper master password.

Information stored in Password Keeper gets into off-line backups when such backups are produced. However, even when the backup gets decrypted, the users’ passwords remain securely protected with an extra password: the Password Keeper master password.

Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker can now recover Password Keeper’s master password, providing investigators full access to stored login credentials and passwords in plain-text.

Similar to Password Keeper, BlackBerry Wallet stores users’ personal and financial information such as credit card information, billing and shipping addresses, loyalty rewards and membership card numbers. The tool is designed to speed up mobile checkout, significantly simplifying the online purchasing process by filling in the required fields automatically with stored information. Being such a convenience tool, BlackBerry Wallet is used by many BlackBerry customers.

Information stored in BlackBerry Wallet is also encrypted and securely protected with Wallet master password. This password should be, and usually is different from BlackBerry backup password, adding an extra layer of protection to highly sensitive information kept in the Wallet.

The latest edition of Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker can recover Wallet’s master password, providing investigators access to highly valuable information stored in the Wallet.

The recovery of BlackBerry Password Keeper and Wallet passwords is extremely fast. Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker can try hundreds of thousands passwords per second, making dictionary and brute-force attacks feasible and the recovery time reasonable.

Knowing the original plain-text master password, investigators can use the original BlackBerry device to access user passwords and data stored in BlackBerry Password Keeper and Wallet apps. Elcomsoft Blackberry Backup Explorer can use a BlackBerry backup off-line to display passwords stored in BlackBerry Password Keeper; BlackBerry Wallet support will be added shortly. Elcomsoft Blackberry Backup Explorer is the first and, currently, the only product on the market that can access and display BlackBerry Password Keeper items in off-line, without requiring the use of a BlackBerry device.

About Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker

Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker provides forensic access to encrypted information stored in popular Apple and BlackBerry devices. By recovering the original password protecting offline backups produced with compatible devices, the tool offers forensic specialists access to SMS and email messages, call history, contacts and organizer data, Web browsing history, voicemail and email accounts and settings stored in those backup files.

Pricing and Availability

Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker is available immediately. Home and Professional editions are available; licenses start from $ 79.

Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker operates without Apple iTunes or BlackBerry Desktop Software being installed.

The Madness Begins with Barry Gibb, David English & Ashley Gibb

The Madness Begins with Barry Gibb, David English & Ashley Gibb

(PRWEB) October 11, 2006

Barry Gibb, David English and Ashley Gibb have released a selection of comedy sketches that have been filmed over the last 25 years. Bumsrush The Madness Begins, which is available exclusively through Barry Gibb’s Official Website — BarryGibb.com, includes interviews, sports commentary, TV commercials, movie take-offs and much much more.

Discover the love that two men share in Blue Ass Mountain, the hilarious antics of Cohen & Cohen, and the Hot Seat Interviews with Frederick Siemen, Irbine Le Twot, Jimmy Du Pre, Blind Boy Slim Fat and Horatio Purturbed.

Reviews from some of the first customers to receive their DVDs…

“Without a doubt, Barry Gibb’s Richard III has relegated Sir Laurence Olivier to second place when it comes to greatest Shakespearean actors of all time. His recent performance with David English showcased the multi-talented Gibb as a masterful performer in tights as well as a genius with the ‘aside.’ Let us hope Barry Gibb forgoes the Men in Black sequels for additional Gibbs in tights. May I suggest Julius Caesar or Hamlet!”

“The more I watch Bumsrush, the more I am captivated by David’s aptitude for comedic drama. He is truly a treasure. Two very enthusiastic “twots” up for David!!”

and from the creators of Bumsrush The Madness Begins…

Ashley says, “Ever since I was little boy I loved watching the insanity which exists between my father and his friend David English, they have infected me and now I am one of them.”

Barry says “When I watch these, I still laugh after 25 years. We had an incredible time doing them and it is a joy to now be able to share these with everyone. The Madness Begins…”

Cool Cats in XJ6 Jag Go Hot for LPG in Staples to Naples 2008

BlackCats Staples to Naples 2008

(Vocus) September 22, 2008

Adrian Flux Insurance Services are co-sponsoring ‘The Black Cats’, one of the teams in this year’s Staples to Naples continental banger rally.

Starting on September 19th, in aid of Cancer Research UK, the route runs 1400 miles to Italy over four days. ‘The Black Cats’ – aka Norfolk Jaguar enthusiasts Barry Ayres and Neil Schofield – are breaking new ground in the banger rally racing in September with a 20 year old car running on LPG.

The rules of the Rally are that your car mustn’t have cost more than £100 to buy, and while you must obviously ensure it’s roadworthy and properly maintained and insured, you mustn’t improve its performance.

Being founder members of the North Norfolk branch of the [Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, Barry and Neil could hardly be seen in any car other than a Jaguar. So they cast around for an unwanted Jag, and found a 1988 XJ6, which had been left to rot in an orchard in Dersingham for several years.

Despite its age and neglect, the car proved to be in remarkably good condition, and needed little maintenance to make it roadworthy again. However, with the rise in petrol prices, the likely cost of driving across Europe in an old and thirsty saloon – for all its style – would raise costs and threaten the viability of the rally.

Barry and Neil hit on the idea of converting it to LPG (liquid petroleum gas). This is not for improved rallying capabilities – if anything it actually reduces the performance – but to improve fuel consumption by over 50% and reduce carbon emissions dramatically over the four-day, 1400-mile event.

Nowadays LPG sounds like a great idea to cost-conscious and eco-friendly drivers. But until comparatively recently, insuring such a vehicle was a problem – particularly if, as with The Black Cats, it was a retro-fit.

“We were pioneers in insuring LPG conversions in the early days”, says Gerry Bucke, Commercial Director of Adrian Flux.

“They are now more common, but for some reason, until quite recently, LPG had a bad name with many insurers, probably because the cars themselves weren’t ‘standard’ and many insurers would jack up the premiums.

But we are perfectly happy that an LPG car is just as good a risk as any other car, and of course there are the lower running costs and environmental benefits. So when we learned of Barry and Neil’s plans we were happy to sponsor them.”

In the ‘Staples to Naples’, which has been running since 2003, many teams sell their cars once they reach the finishing line and return by air, by train, or with friends. Barry and Neil say they won’t have the heart to get rid of the XJ6. Instead they hope to take it to Jaguar meetings and other events, still in its 2008 Staple To Naples livery.
